Different types of hedges need cutting at different times of year. I’ll always aim to do the work at the right time for the species, so it keeps growing well and looking its best. Most hedges benefit from a trim once or twice a year — usually in spring and again in late summer.
I also take wildlife into account. Where possible, I avoid cutting during bird nesting season, especially in more mature hedges. If I spot signs of nesting, I’ll let you know and we can reschedule for a more suitable time.
